Overview
Liquid in, powder out
Spray drying turns solutions, emulsions, suspensions and pumpable paste into powder, granule or lumps. It is the right process when particle size, residual moisture, bulk density and particle shape must meet a tight standard.
A high speed centrifugal atomizer at the top of the tower breaks the liquid into very fine droplets. Hot air dries them in seconds.
Heat
Air is filtered and heated, then enters the air distributor at the top and flows into the chamber in a spiral.
Atomize
The rotating atomizer sprays the liquid into fine mist, which dries in parallel contact with the hot air.
Collect
Product leaves continuously from the bottom of the tower and the cyclone. A fan exhausts the air.
