Overview
From rough granules to round pellets
The QZL multi function high speed spheronizer is widely used in the food and chemical industries to turn extruded particles or moist granules from a mixer or granulator into round spheres.
Particles are fed onto a spinning friction plate that throws them against the inside wall of the cylinder. Extruded particles are broken into pieces about one diameter long, and collisions with the wall, the plate and each other round each granule.
Feed
Damp granules are fed onto the rotating centrifugal disk.
Spin
Air from the fan, centrifugal force and gravity keep the particles in a ring of rope-turning motion.
Round
The collisions shape each granule into a high-degree ball. The time needed depends on the formulation.

02How does it work?
Damp granules go onto a rotating centrifugal disk. Air from a fan, centrifugal force and gravity move them in a ring until they become round pellets.
