Overview
Mix in the same hopper
The BW hopper mixer holds a mixing hopper in a rotating frame. A lifting motor and screw drive clamp the hopper, then a low speed, high torque gear motor turns it so the material mixes inside.
The axis of the rotating body is set at 30° to the mixing frame. Under the pressure of the hopper wall the material slides, stacks and disperses again and again. This is shear mixing and diffusion mixing.
Clamp
A lifting motor and screw nut drive hold the hopper in place. Clamping columns stop it sliding sideways while it turns.
Mix
A low speed, high torque gear motor turns the rotating body. Speed is set by variable frequency control.
Release
The same hopper is lowered and moved away to the next step.

Clamped, sealed and easy to clean
Stainless steel contact parts and a frame with no cleaning dead corners.

Safe clamping
The screw nut drive has good self-locking performance, and clamping columns at the top corners keep the hopper from sliding while it mixes.

Stainless frame
The rotating body is welded from carbon profiles, rust-proofed and covered with SS304 sheet. The rotating body and guide rod are SS304.

Sealed lubrication
The lubrication points of the guide rod and screw nut are fully sealed, so there is no leakage and no contamination of the product.

Adjustable speed
Variable frequency control sets the mixing speed, adjustable without steps.

Shear and diffusion
The 30° axis gives repeated sliding, stacking and dispersing for even mixing.

GMP base
The base cover is SS304 with surface roughness Ra ≤ 0.8. There are no cleaning dead corners or exposed threads.

01How does a hopper mixer work?
The hopper is clamped in a rotating frame and turned at low speed. The material slides, stacks and disperses in the hopper, so it mixes by shear and diffusion.
02How fast does it turn?
Spindle speed is 3 to 20 rpm on BW-100 to BW-300 and 3 to 15 rpm on BW-400 and BW-600, set by variable frequency control.
03What is the largest batch?
BW-600 has a maximum hopper volume of 600 L and a maximum loading weight of 300 kg.
04Is it easy to clean?
The frame has no cleaning dead corners or exposed threads, the cover is SS304 and the design meets GMP requirements.
05Is the hopper safe while it turns?
Yes. A self-locking screw nut drive and clamping columns hold the hopper in place.
